July 20th - Governor Kaine signs Executive Order 29 creating the Health IT Council

August 21st - Request for Information is announced by Secretaries Tavenner and Chopra

August 30th - Governor Kaine announces the membership of the Health IT Council (Available under "Press Releases")

2007

February 28th - Governor Kaine announced the award of the first $750,000 in grants to MedVirginia, CareSpark, and the Community Care Network of Virginia.

April 10th - Sixth meeting of the Health IT Council (Richmond)

October 23 - Seventh meeting of the Health IT Council (Richmond)

 

2008

January 21st - Governor Kaine announced the award of the final two grants to Centra Health in Lynchburg and NOVARHIO in Fairfax. Each grant is worth $150,000.
